Position Summary:

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial planning and job-specific breakdowns, ensuring accurate materials costs, and tracking key company statistics. This role is crucial in helping us optimize resource allocation, improve cost efficiency, and maintain profitability across all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed job breakdowns, including materials costs, labor expenses, and overhead allocations.

Analyze and forecast job-specific budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

Prepare cost analyses and provide recommendations to optimize resource allocation and reduce waste.

Maintain accurate records of job expenditures and reconcile discrepancies with project managers.

Track company-wide financial metrics and prepare regular performance reports for leadership.

Assist in developing financial strategies and projections to drive company growth.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.

Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments to streamline financial operations.

Provide insights on market trends, pricing, and cost controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience as a financial accountant, preferably in the construction industry.

Strong knowledge of job costing, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.

Knowledge of construction materials, processes, and industry trends is a plus.
