Rosemont: Demonstration Coordinator Opening

Rosemont Market & Bakery is a mission driven community market with a focus on connecting products from local farmers, growers and producers to customers in the greater Portland area. We buy and source high quality, unique products from Maine and away and over 60% of the products sold in our markets are grown or produced in Maine.

We want to deliver an exceptional customer experience and we are looking to bring on a demonstration coordinator who is passionate about food, community and connecting with customers! This position will be responsible for organizing and hosting product demonstrations and tastings. Please note this is a part time seasonal position that will end in September.

In this position, you can expect to:

-Plan and schedule and conduct engaging product demonstrations and tastings across all market locations.

-Communicate product features, benefits, and promotional information to customers.

-Collect feedback from customers during demonstrations to gauge product popularity and customer preferences.

-Keep detailed records and use data to measure and improve customer engagement and sales.

-Drive market success by growing sales.

-Work hands-on with produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods and dry goods from here and away.

-Engage and educate our customers about what makes our local products so unique and special.

-Collaborate with co-workers on stocking, packing, and merchandising projects to create a consistent and curated experience across our markets.

Applicant Must-Haves:

-A passion for all food but especially local food.

-Strong hospitality, customer service, and interpersonal communication skills.

-Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.

-Computer proficiency including MS office suite.

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

-Ability to give, receive and apply feedback.

-Some evening and weekend availability.

-Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.

-Ability to stand for the majority of shift.
