Material Handler- Forklift

Material Handler – Join Our Team! – $22/hr

Location: Portland, ME

Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $22/hour

Job Summary:

The Material Handler is responsible for all warehouse activities including loading, order fulfillment, cycle counting, put-away, and other tasks to keep operations running smoothly.(cold facility)

Equipment Used: Crown Sit-down Forklift, Terret Truck

Key Responsibilities:

Handle all warehouse activities: loading, order fulfillment, cycle counting, and put-away

Complete knowledge of company GDPs

Count products and check for damage, infestation, and product identifiers (part numbers, batches, etc.)

Report shortages, overages, or damages on proper forms

Apply appropriate labels to products

Stack and store products efficiently to prevent damage

Assist in physical inventories

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow company housekeeping policies

Responsible for Food Safety compliance

Work in Freezer/Cooler areas (experience desired)

Preferred Experience:

At least one year of stand-up or sit-down forklift experience
