We are thrilled to announce the opening of a brand new Dim Sum/ Dumpling restaurant in the heart of Old Port. With a seating capacity of 150, our restaurant aims to deliver an elevated and fun dining experience. Mixing authentic and creative menu items, showcasing the artistry and flavors of dim sum cuisine.

Responsibilities:

As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in the successful launch and ongoing operation of our dim sum dumpling restaurant.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop an innovative and enticing dim sum menu, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity in every dish.

Kitchen Operations: Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards.

Staff Training: Conduct training sessions to ensure all kitchen staff are well-versed in the preparation and presentation of dim sum dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and quality.

Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels efficiently, minimizing waste and ensuring all necessary ingredients are consistently available.

Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to guarantee an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Budget Management: Work closely with the management team to establish and adhere to budgetary guidelines, controlling costs without compromising on quality.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Chef De Cuisine or Executive Chef, with a focus on Asian cuisine, particularly dim sum.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse kitchen team.

Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a high-volume kitchen.

Extensive knowledge of dim sum and Chinese culinary techniques.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Must have high standards for organization, cleanliness and systems.
