DescriptionOur confidential client has an opportunity on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain for a Finance Controller in their small office setting to oversee several locations of their manufacturing company. The Finance Controller must possess solid communication, technology, analytical and management skills and be well-versed in U.S. GAAP as well as IFRS. The role requires at least eight years of relevant experience and an MBA or CPA is very strongly preferred. The Finance Controller is responsible for the financial, human resources, internal control, administrative and legal aspects of the 2 location operations and provides leadership and coordination in finance and administration.Key duties include: Coordinates the preparation of financial statements, reports, and special analysis under both consolidated package IFRS and statutory U.S. GAAP Coordinates with external CPA for accounting review, tax calculations and auditor’s requirements in the performance of annual audits Manages the closing process (6 times a year), analyzes the closing in terms of cost of goods sold, gross margin, operational results and informs the management on critical items Prepares yearly budget, quarterly estimate and strategic yearly plans and monitors the follow-up of the budget Assesses current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes Implement effective control mechanism to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial and operating data, and ensure the protection of assets. Responsible for treasury operations and maintains effective relationship with banks and headquarters overseas. Analyzes cash flow, cost control, expenses, and financial statement.
