It fuels our passion and drives every decision we make.Job Posting TitleSenior Copy Editor - RemoteJob DescriptionThe Senior Copy Editor is responsible for writing, editing and prooing content to ensure it is accurate, clear, consistent, complete and appropriate for the established audience. The position reviews materials based on writing best practices, Associate Press style, organizational copy style guidelines and compliance standards.Responsibilities
Write, edit and make copy recommendations for a variety of complex or industry-specific print and digital materials, product sheets, sales presentations, conference posters, event materials, member and prescriber letters, manuals and reports
Proo and correct grammar, punctuation and spelling across a variety of content; ensure copy is complete, logically structured and meets the objective; recommend improvements as necessary to ensure clear message, purpose and flow
Research, check facts and resources and review against health literacy and compliance requirements; engage cross-functionally with subject matter expert(s) (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Operations) to verify information and alignment
Manage and update organization’s copy style guidelines regularly to uphold brand standards and voice
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Creative Writing, or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
5 years of work experience in Marketing or Corporate Communications writing and editing copy
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
Knowledgeable of health literacy guidelines and compliance requirements for the PBM/pharmacy industry
Proficient in Microsoft Word and adaptable to a Mac/PC environment
Ability to follow Associated Press as well as company style guide in composing all written pieces
Demonstrated expertise in plain language; able to translate complex subject matter into readable and engaging content
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in Mac and PC environments
Experience using the Associated Press Stylebook
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear
Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel and crouch
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Reporting Structure
Reports to a Manager or Principal in the Marketing Brand department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $64,700.00 - $97,100.00 based on experience and skills.
