Kentucky, Louisville, 40201 Louisville USARequisition: 2024-157848BILLING ASSOCIATE (Medical Biller)Job LocationsUS-KY-LOUISVILLEID2024-157848Line of BusinessAbode Care PartnersPosition TypeFull-TimePay MinUSD $19.00/Hr.Pay MaxUSD $22.00/Hr.Our CompanyAbode Care PartnersOverviewThe Billing Associate will be responsible for assisting the Revenue Cycle Team in medical billing functions both remotely and in our Louisville, KY Corporate Office.ResponsibilitiesResponsible for monthly Medicaid, Medicare Part B, and other insurance billings along with timely follow-up with intermediaries and commercial insurance carriers on delinquent paymentsObtains and submits all required documentation to bill third party payers as per program/company guidelinesInputs any ancillary and charge data into the billing system and/or Excel spreadsheets timely and accuratelyWorks with or support Revenue Cycle Team in planning all aspects of Business & Billing Office functions to include interfacing with all other disciplines and departmentsMay assist the Revenue Cycle Team in monitoring day-to-day operation of the Business & Billing Office and to establish priorities, manage records, budgets, or suppliesFills in as Revenue Cycle Manager, as needed with limited or full authority, as given by the COO/CFOSupports and assists Revenue Cycle Team with State, Federal and Company standards, to include alerting management to potential non-compliance issues and the preparation of correction plansAssists with end of month close procedures such as, but not limited to charge input, cash receipts reconciliationMaintains accuracy and efficiency in all work performedPrepares disbursement checks for payment of expenditures approved by COO/CFOAssists with filing and storage processes/systems as neededAssists with company information tracking and reports as neededOther special projects and duties, as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma required and equivalent related work experienceMinimum of one (1) year billing and/or coding experience preferredEffective verbal and written English communication skillsDemonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigationHighest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectivesCustomer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressureStrong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivityStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisionsAbility to deal with new tasks without the benefit of written proceduresApproachable, flexible, and adaptable to changeAbout our Line of BusinessAbode Care Partners is a leading provider of integrated medical services caring for individuals from post hospitalization to home in various settings ranging from skilled nursing facilities, assisted living, independent living, group homes, and private homes.
