Accounts Payable Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Lenexa, Kansas. This role oversees all activities related to accounts payable, including the management of staff, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices, and maintaining accurate records. The Accounts Payable Manager also interacts with various business partners and provides excellent customer service.Responsibilities: Establish and implement Policies and Procedures to streamline accounts payable processes and enhance team performance. Supervise Accounts Payable staff, including accounts payable clerks and administrative support. Manage the timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, ensuring accurate records and control reports are maintained. Coordinate with top-level management to set priorities and timelines for accounts payable activities. Oversee the vendor lien waiver process, including maintaining the Vendor Lien waiver log and setting priorities. Handle accounts payable activities for direct ship invoices, including receipt, payment, and shipment posting. Oversee all transactional and operational activities related to the Accounts Payable. Recruit, motivate, coach, and train Accounts Payable staff to improve performance. Act as a point of contact for business partners regarding accounts payable and vendor waivers. Ensure all payments have been correctly applied to customer accounts or refunded promptly. Maintain strong relationships with customers and provide excellent customer service. Requirements Proficiency in Account Coding. Knowledge of Accounting Software Systems. Experience with ADP - Financial Services. Proficiency in Concur. Skills in Data Processing. Understanding of Accounting Functions. Experience in Accounts Payable (AP). Familiarity with Accrual Accounting. Auditing skills. Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH).
