TheFuture Ready Mecourse is a new elementary specials course designed for students in grades K-4.The course will engage students in the exploration of computer science, coding, engineering experiences, along with health and wellness topics.

Licensure Required:

The educator teaching the Future Ready Me must be certified to teach as a K-6 classroom teacher. Teachers who hold a science, math and/or computer science endorsement and who have a strong interest in STEM instruction are highly desired for this position. Overview of our District: The College Community School District is located on an 860 acre site on the SW side of Cedar Rapids. The central campus site is unique for a district our size and source of great pride. The Prairie campus consists of five elementary schools (K-4), an intermediate school (5-6), middle school (7-9), high school (10-12), Early Childhood Center, and three off-site programs. The College Community School District serves appoximately 6,000 students from Linn, Benton, and Johnson counties. The 137 square mile district includes the cities of Ely, Fairfax, Shueyville, Swisher, Walford and SW Cedar Rapids. We take great pride in our parent and community support. A combination of targeted instruction, data-driven decisions, flexible content and tools, and student reflection and ownership ensures that each student receives what they need when they need it as they tap into their individual strengths and progress toward their unique learning goals.
