Heavy Equipment Mechanic

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our team. This role includes the maintenance and repair of vehicles and equipment, including vegetation spray systems—under the supervision of the Shop Manager.Key Responsibilities:Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel, gasoline, and spray equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and spray system issues.Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure safe operation.Maintain accurate repair records and shop inventory.Assist with equipment fabrication and custom builds.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.Respond to emergency breakdowns in the field when required.During downtime, assist vegetation spray crews in the field, including railroad vegetation management operations.
