Internal Controls Analyst, Sr. - ESGDescriptionWe are looking for a talented GIC- ESG Senior Analyst to join our team specializing in ESG-Internal Controls for our Corporate Business Segment in Indianapolis, IN.In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: 

Conduct comprehensive business process and internal control reviews within the North American region to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, focusing on ESG considerations.

Collaborate closely with the ESG Strategy team to implement and enhance ESG internal controls, assess risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the region.

Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks to monitor and mitigate ESG-related risks for North American regulatory requirements.

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify ESG-related risks and opportunities within the organization's operations, supply chain, and stakeholder engagements.

Identify and address internal control deficiencies relating to ESG, working collaboratively with auditors and relevant teams to implement solutions.

Prepare and maintain ESG internal control documentation and process maps, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory guidelines.

Communicate results, observations, and improvement recommendations to stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams.

Participate in process improvement initiatives to integrate ESG considerations into business processes and decision-making.

Must have the ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

QualificationsSkills:

US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP): Evaluate and apply US accounting standards to ensure compliance and effective financial reporting.

Business Process and Internal Control Risk Analysis: Identify risks and gaps in business processes, develop risk management plans, and implement process improvements.

Financial Internal Controls: Assess internal controls, develop remediation plans, and adapt to changing business needs.

Action Oriented: Approach challenges with urgency, energy, and enthusiasm.

Conflict Management: Address conflict situations effectively and constructively.

Nimble Learning: Continuously learn and adapt through experimentation and experience

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, environmental studies or related field required.

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent certification preferred.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience preferred.

Understanding of ESG frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD) and their application to business operations.

Strong knowledge of North American regulatory requirements related to ESG, such as SEC disclosures, ESG reporting standards, and relevant environmental and social regulations.

Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business processes.

Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience.
