Pricing Analyst - ADV

Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to be based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves analyzing competitor pricing and market expectations to determine the optimal price for our products. You will work closely with our pricing department and internal stakeholders to analyze and price special job requests from our external customers, with the aim of maximizing revenue and expanding our residential heating and air conditioning business. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Analyze pricing quote requests critically Price quotes accurately based on equipment matchups, competitive data, and market pricing levels Administer new quotes and make changes to existing ones as required Communicate effectively with management, sales, and the pricing department Support pricing team members as a backup when necessary Solve problems using data analysis Use intermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables Learn and navigate database systems and protocols quickly Work independently with minimal oversight Manage and analyze financial accounts. Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables Experience in conducting financial analysis, including competitor analysis and ad hoc financial analysis Strong understanding of finance principles and accounting protocols Proven experience in sales and account management Ability to provide workstation support and handle external customers professionally Proficiency in data analysis and ability to interpret complex financial data Experience with database systems and ability to provide clear explanations of data findings Ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and manage their expectations Experience in pricing strategies and maximizing revenue Knowledge of residential heating systems Ability to handle requests for quotations professionally Aptitude for progress tracking and oversight of financial processes Strong statistical analysis skills Willingness to work onsite as required Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
