Summary:The Senior Business Systems Analyst (“Senior BSA”) is a customer-focused role with direct product involvement responsible for managing and communicating requirements to the solution team throughout the project. This is done by understanding and representing the customer to the team through daily stand-ups, a requirements document or backlog, use cases or user stories, and low-fidelity prototyping. A strong and technical understanding of current business needs is required to meet the customers’ needs.The Senior Business Systems Analyst works closely with a product manager, architects and the project team to manage a backlog of user stories for enhancements and projects. As a BSA you will be responsible for building coherent, complete stories that can easily be consumed by the Agile teams, and you will work closely with the team members regarding implications of the story details.Location: Remote within the USResponsibilities:Requirement Development & Management

Defects Analysis InputEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a Business, Information Systems, Computer Science discipline or equivalent technical work experience required

Seasoned IT or Business professional with a minimum of 5 years business analysis or related experience

In-depth experience with requirement elicitation, requirements documentation, and story definition including acceptance criteria

Direct customer interface experience (working with client directly on project tasks; managing client expectations) preferred

Proven ability to quickly learn new business domains and technical applications

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Strong technical thinking, analytical, and conceptualization skills

Strong understanding of technology concepts, tools and processes; able to have knowledge-based, intelligent technical discussions with developers and QA

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Creative problem-solving skills

Well organized and detail-oriented

Ability to work independently – must be self-motivated

Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and new technology, and to recommend solutions and alternatives

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location.
