In this role, you will partner with site leadership to develop and promote new programs and initiatives that align business goals and strategy. You will oversee and facilitate the delivery of a broad range of HR services, including coaching and mentoring employees at all levels, serving as a strategic partner to drive impactful initiatives, and driving operational excellence by delivering innovative, data-driven solutions to support a thriving workplace culture.Want to join a key team that helps the world read?The world is reading, and it is our goal to connect as many people to the content they want in the simplest ways.  If you want to be part of a customer-centric team that strives for excellence, collaboration, innovation, we can’t wait to meet you!Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or directly related year for year experience4 years HR Generalist experiencePreferred Skills:3+ years of experience leading teams and/or managing direct reportsSHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (or equivalent HR credential).Proven track record of success in implementing HR practices in high-volume, fast-paced environments, preferably in distribution or manufacturing, or industry with similar hourly workforceExperience partnering with senior leadership to provide valuable insights and drive HR initiativesStrong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions that enhance HR strategiesIn-depth knowledge of federal/state regulations to include EEO, FLSA, ADA, FMLA and AAPKey Responsibilities:Partner with site leadership to analyze trends, research, and forecast distribution long-term HR needs.Manage the delivery of numerous HR services covering all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit such as: sourcing, staffing, employment administration, employee relations, benefit administration, training, and employee wellness.Oversee and respond to all escalated HR issues and requests.Ensure organizational legal compliance with regulatory local, state, and federal requirements and maintain appropriate files.Manage and facilitate all staffing activities that support client groups including: generation of required paperwork and conducting pre-recruitment strategy meetings. Identify appropriate sources of applicants. Consult with hiring manager to ensure quality of staffing services and make recommendations to support the client group’s objective(s). Partner with senior leadership in the client departments and advise as needed on departmental organization, associate development, and strategic planning.Perform as facilitator / administrator for new hire orientation programs, compensation programs, benefit programs, safety programs, and training / development programs.Determine escalation of issues to HR specialist groups and/or senior management to obtain involvement necessary to influence/impact/resolve business decisions.Screen and interview applicants as needed.
