Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer coordinates resources to support manufacturing operations, leads quality and cost-improvement projects, and supports new product launches. This role drives quality improvements across the entire value stream, from vendors to the end customer. Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Communication:Coach and develop Quality Technicians, Monitors, Analysts, and Group Leads.Lead daily communications during Operations Huddle Board meetings.Deliver timely updates across all appropriate plant functions.Problem Solving & Quality Improvement: Drive problem-solving efforts using containment, root cause analysis, and CAPA / 8D methodologies.Execute improvement projects leveraging PDCA, Six Sigma, and data-driven priorities (WAR teams).Implement permanent corrections to eliminate process and product failures.Translate feedback from the customer, process, and business into actionable plant improvements.Process Control & Safety: Audit manufacturing steps against standardized work, Process FMEAs, and Control Plans to fix gaps.Collaborate cross-functionally with customers, purchasing, suppliers, engineering, and operations.Investigate incidents and support facility-wide plant metrics.Prioritize safety by immediately addressing safety or ergonomic issues with a "safety first" attitude.
