Sign-on Bonus for experience Nurses For Full time nights1-2 years experience- $3,0002 plus years of experience up to $7500Internal transfers and new grad hires are not eligible for a sign-on bonus—Central DuPage Hospital has three stepdown, intermediate unitsAll time and part time positions are available! Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (2A)26-bed unit designed to provide treatment, care, and service to adult patients with acute medical, surgical and cardiac conditions specializing in complicated surgeries.Patient population will include but are not limited to esophagectomies, whipples, surgical-oncology cases, high-volume liposuction, multi-level spinal fusions, and vascular cases. Other opportunities for this unit will be any surgical patients that require a medication drip that is not appropriate for the medical-surgical inpatient unit.This unit will also be open to medical step-down and overflow patients to enhance hospital throughput.Direct care of the 2A patients will be provided by registered nurses with an ideal ratio of 1:3-4 patients for step down level of care.CDH Cardiac Intermediate (3A)26 bed cardiac step-down unit that is part of Northwestern Medicine’s prestigious Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute (BCVI)As part of BCVI, we are able provide the same advanced cardiac care normally only available at a major academic medical center, but in a suburban setting.Our unit cares for patients with a variety of cardiovascular diagnoses, including post cardiac surgeries and procedures.We are proud to be in the country’s top decile of patient satisfaction for over 8 years!Cross training opportunities to the Telemetry DepartmentCDH Neuro Intermediate (3B)24 bed neurosciences unit providing care to patients requiring medical and surgical treatment of acute neurological and spine disordersNeurological conditions include acute and stable traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid hemorrhage, stroke, spinal injury, seizure, and acute inflammation or infections of the CNS.
