OverviewThe VTC Technician will support a government agency in handling Video Teleconferencing systems. There is a current VTC infrastructure, in which this position will help maintain network systems. You will work closely with technical members to support VTC and Information Technology departments.Overall, this position is great for any recent Computer Science graduate or Information Technology professional. Job Duties
Set up conference rooms with VTC equipment and programs.
Operate state of the art equipment and monitor materials according to compliance.
Prepare and stage equipment, as well as provide troubleshooting.
Analyze data and perform recovery functionality.
Learn to perform remote network management as directed by supervisor.
Re-engineer circuits for VTC network.
Install and maintain cables, racks, projectors and more.
Software tools MS Office, NNM, Telnet.
Apply knowledge of ITU-T Standards.
Knowledge of Polycom, Cisco, or similar.
Document activities with detail.
Customer service relating to high-ranking officials.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong communication skills, understanding of hierarchy and chain of command.
Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment.
Example: If conference goes down in the middle of a presentation, the technician may end up dealing with un-happy customers.

Monday-Friday.
1st shift hours.
Saturday & Sunday Off.
Federal Holidays Off.
Compliance Requirements
Drug Test Required; Background Check Required.
CompTIA A+ Certification, reimbursement assistance, if passed.
Interim Secret Clearance, financed by agency, no out of pocket cost.
