Mechanical Engineer III

We have a fantastic opportunity for the role of a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer who will be reporting to the Gas Seals Reliability Manager. The role of a Gas Seals Reliability Engineer is to support external customers on all technical aspects including design, manufacture, build and test. This will involve looking at fast turnaround projects with levels of complexity varying. You will support sales network and carry out technical assessments detailing recommendations to support business plans.The role is open to be located at our headquarters within Morton Grove site. We celebrate diversity and are committed to crafting an inclusive environment for all employees. Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)Evaluating in house test failures and considering dry gas seal designs while looking for solutions.Performing and interpreting calculations, analyses, and computations for unknown factors involving well-understood mechanisms.Prepare and present technical presentations to internal & external customers.Preparing technical feedback for both internal & external customers.Supporting commercial teams in technical meetings with customers to help resolve issues and build relationships.Liaising and working alongside Development Engineering occasionally when developing point solutions.Working with Operations to ensure stakeholders are apprised of project progress.Utilising proprietary FEA analysis software to investigate issues.Producing Concept sketches, in CAD to convey design modifications.Providing detailed technical support to customer queries.Constantly maintaining the company’s professional image via effective communication.
