Order Picker (Seasonal)

Requirements

An order picker must be able to get along, and work with co-workers

Follow appropriate SOPP's, SSOP's, GMP's, and equipment specific procedures

Follow established sanitary production guidelines

Able to work as a team player on a line and keep up with the teams pace as well as work independently

Willing to follow instructions given by the department line lead

Some schooling and related work experience are helpful but not required

Past employment experience on a picking line to perform these jobs is not required but is helpful. Order picker will be trained on the job

1st Shift, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm (Overtime as required)

Job Description

An order picker must be able to pick the correct product to match the shipping mailing label. This position reports to the shipping department but must be able to perform a variety of production jobs in assembly and production departments.

The employee must be flexible and willing to be transferred from line to line within one department or from department to department

Pick correct product number to match mailing label

Make sure the correct number of products are picked

Affix label correctly on box

Put items together into a tote to be run through multi machine

Remove empty skid into aisle for forklift driver to take

Plastic shrink wrap from skid must be picked up and thrown into garbage

Keep area clean

Assist in correctly preparing a variety of gift products in the assembly department

Work as a team in preparing with proper products gift baskets, box towers, gift tins, boxes, and mail boxes

Set filled basket on conveyor and top with plastic wrap or bag, tape bottom and run through shrink tunnel

Tag and / or make a nice satin bow on filled baskets and samplers
