Fleet Dispatcher

Ingram Marine Group is hiring a Fleet Dispatcher in the Granite City, IL office. This position will report to the Fleet Dispatch Manager and is responsible for safely and efficiently designing and expediting tows, coordinating the movement of barges in the fleet, scheduling staff, and coordinating vessel refueling. Successful Dispatchers are detail oriented and have strong organizational, logistical, and analytical skills. They can evaluate situations, make decisions quickly and move on to the next item on the agenda. The ideal candidate works well across teams, is willing to learn and grow, and exercises good judgment.What you’ll be doing:Coordinating the efficient movement of barges in and out of the fleetsAssisting with the management of fleeting operationsCollaborating with internal and external departmentsAssisting in the management of fleet barge capacityHandling customer billing in FMS (Fleet Management Software)Maintaining rigging inventories as necessaryCustomer, vendor visitsParticipating in local harbor groupsInterfacing with related government agencies as per IBCO policy and proceduresUpdating and maintaining reports and systems
