About the Role

PromoteSafety Inc. is seeking an experienced Trucking Safety Specialist to support our U.S.-based trucking clients with compliance, safety management, driver coaching, and document control. This is a contract position, not employment. The selected candidate will operate as an independent contractor, responsible for managing their own taxes, equipment, and work environment.

This role is ideal for someone who understands U.S. DOT/FMCSA regulations or has prior experience working with carriers, dispatch, safety departments, or compliance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor driver logs (ELD), HOS violations, and safety alerts

Conduct safety audits, file reviews, and compliance checks

Prepare safety documentation, policies, and corrective action plans

Track inspections, citations, crashes, and maintain safety score data

Train and coach drivers on safety procedures and regulatory compliance

Maintain company files such as DQ files, MVRs, certificates, medical cards

Communicate with drivers and report issues promptly

Assist with FMCSA requirements (Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, MCS-150 updates, DataQ disputes, etc.)

Support ongoing safety performance monitoring and improvements

Required Qualifications

Must live outside the United States

Strong understanding of U.S. DOT & FMCSA regulations preferred

Experience in trucking safety, compliance, dispatch, or transportation

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Strong computer skills (ELD platforms, spreadsheets, cloud storage)

High attention to detail and accuracy
