We are specializing in hauling hazardous materials, therefore hazmat and tanker endorsement is needed for the job. We are seeking dependable and efficient CDL truck drivers who posses a great deal of physical and mental stamina able to withstand long hours on the road. Must be organized, detailed oriented, and comfortable working independently. A clean driving record and commercial driving experience is a must.

CDL Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities

1. Fully understand how to operate and safely drive your assigned vehicle.

2. Drive vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.

3. Pick-up and safely transport goods, livestock, etc. to the intended destination.

4. Ensure contents are properly secured in the trailer to prevent damage/injury.

5. Obtain signatures to confirm and complete deliveries.

6. Assist in mapping driving routes.

7. Stay on a predetermined route and ensure timely transport and delivery.

8. Communicate with dispatch as needed.

9. Confirm that the contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document.

10. Perform inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip.

11. Check weather conditions and road reports before departure.

12. Always ensure your vehicle is kept clean.

13. Maintain and service vehicle as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.).

14.Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered.

15. Follow delivery schedule and rest at appropriate times.

16. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.

17. Track and report working hours.

18. Adhere to company rules and regulations.

19. Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive in according to the weather/road conditions.

20. Comply with ICC and DOT regulations.

21. Make safety a priority at all times.

Job Qualifications

1. Clean background investigation (MVR, PSP, Criminal, D&A Clearinghouse).

2. 2+ years of experience.

3. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).

4. Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement.

5. Comfortable with long-haul transport.

6. Proficient using GPS and other routing systems.

7. Map reading and route planning experience.

8. Physically and mentally fit.

9 .Alert, focused, and detail-oriented.

10. Ability to pass online hazmat training course.
