Company Overview:

We are a growing Chicago-based sign company specializing in custom signage, fabrication, and installation services. We are seeking a reliable, experienced contract electrician to assist with electrical work on various projects, both in our shop/warehouse and on client sites as a subcontractor.

Job Description:

As a Contract Electrician, you will provide electrical services for a variety of projects, including sign installations, electrical troubleshooting, wiring, and other related work. This role will be project-based and require flexibility, as the electrician will be called upon as needed for both shop/warehouse work and client site work in the greater Chicago area.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform electrical work on sign installations, including running wiring, connections, and testing electrical components.

Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues on projects as they arise.

Work with the project team to ensure proper installation and compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.

Assist with electrical maintenance, repairs, and upgrades in our shop and warehouse as needed.

Work directly at client sites, ensuring that all electrical work is completed to specifications and industry standards.

Ensure all work meets the electrical code requirements for the City of Chicago.

Provide a current Certificate of Insurance (COI) before beginning any work.

Communicate effectively with project managers and team members.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Electrical License with the City of Chicago.

Current COI (Certificate of Insurance).

Reliable vehicle and tools necessary to perform electrical work.

Valid Driver’s License.

Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.

Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.

Must be available for occasional work during business hours or as project schedules require.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working on electrical projects for signage or similar industries.

Ability to work on tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
