kō-zē is an established wine room in Glen Ellyn, IL where guests can enjoy exclusive wines, craft beers and small plates along with wine tastings, special events and private gatherings in a unique, welcoming atmosphere. www.kozewine.com The Server will greet arriving guests, welcoming them into the establishment for wine, craft beer, and small plate sales. This person should possess wine experience and should have a super-charged, customer-focused attitude, and a vibrant enthusiasm for wine and food and the wine lifestyle. RESPONSIBILITIES Offer new and unforgettable experiences. Delighting and surprising our customers with a fantastic experience at our wine room is at the center of our attention and must be yours as well Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times Educating guests on Wine & Food Taking Wine, Craft Beer and Food Orders Opening & Closing Procedures Selling Wine Club Memberships Assist with Serving for Larger Parties if booked in ko-z-ier private space Required to work evenings, weekends and holidays QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent Wine education experience, background, and/or certification preferred Minimum of2-3+ years of experience as a wine Server Experience working with wine and food in a customer service focused environment – proven customer service skills is a must Sound general wine knowledge with a commitment to excellent knowledge and enthusiasm for the wines served in our wine room Highly motivated, hospitality- and sales-driven with an outstanding work ethic Professional appearance and demeanor when dealing with guests and vendors Works well with others at all levels Must have ability to become ServSafe certified Must be or become BASSET certified prior to starting Ability to perform point of sale (POS) operations Foster, engage and participate in community relationship events as required Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and walk; generally be “on your feet” throughout shift Working environment has exposure to both indoors and outdoors Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting Must be able to stand for long periods of time when required Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds ko-ze is an equal opportunity employer.
