The ideal candidate proactively manages regulatory matters to ensure the organization is well positioned and responsive in regulatory interactions with US Prudential Regulators. The team partners closely with subject matter experts within risk segments to:Responsibilities

Coordinate regulatory interactions, including ongoing supervisory meetings and information requests, to strengthen regulatory relations;

Produce thematic summaries, metrics, and reports on regulatory intelligence and developments to Senior Management;

Provide leadership in exam planning, preparation, and readiness, by collaborating with various stakeholders in the US and Canada; ensure the appropriateness and comprehensive responses of submissions, presentation materials, and remediation plan readiness for submission to Regulators.

Collaborate with partners in other Businesses and Functions to ensure consistent and clear communications to regulators;

Manage key initiatives and routine deliverables across the Regulatory Engagement team by tracking progress of team deliverables and coordinating consistent horizontal responses where needed; Provide review and challenge of responses to ensure regulatory feedback is addressed

Develop and maintain a disciplined, routine schedule for regulatory interactions, including associated preparation sessions, materials, agendas, and speaking points for all key regulatory interactions;

Ensure all regulatory meeting communications, follow-ups and commitments are centrally documented and acted upon, and maintain a disciplined follow up and tracking approach for any open items;

Maintain awareness of regulatory changes across the industry, analyzing how the changes will affect US TI&I

Qualifications

3-4 years of risk experience required, direct regulatory risk experience a plus;

Understanding of relevant banking regulation and supervisory expectations for large complex financial institutions; LFBO experience a plus; working/communicating with federal/state banking regulators is preferred

Pro-active problem-solver who works well in high-pressure fast-paced environments.

High proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for reporting and PowerPoint for presentation development;

Strong written/verbal communications skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging, tailored appropriately to the audience; Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels within the organization including senior management, including a proactive and 'no surprises' approach in communicating issues/requests;

Strong organizational and project management skills, including ability to prioritize multiple, simultaneous projects

Growth mindset, seeking and implementing feedback and maintaining flexibility to pivot and course correct as needed; and

Ability to build relationships with individuals across the organization at all levels, businesses, and locations, providing a broad understanding of the organization.
