Job Description:The role of Senior Project Accountant is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects, variances and compiling construction draws and ensuring billings are recorded in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities include:

Prepare and reconcile bank, loan and project accounts

Work with Construction Draw accountants on project draws

Prepare accounting, financial and statistical statements and reports

Participate in quarterly forecasting process

Collaborate with development teams, report and manage on project status at all phases

Review and maintain established accounting practices and procedures

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for internal and external purposes

Prepare wire and ACH payment requests from Accounts Payable

Communication with external auditors and vendors as required

Requirements

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Real Estate background preferred

3+ years of accounting experience

Strong PC skills to include Word and Excel

Knowledge of Yardi Voyager is preferred

Thorough knowledge of general accounting methods

Effective professional verbal and written communication skills

Ability to focus on details and perform functions with accuracy

Ability to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
