SQL Database Developer / Direct Hire / Chicago

This is direct hire position with our Chicago based client and does include a variable in-office component so local candidates are what they are looking for. We cannot work with 3rd parties or anyone on a C2C basis.

• Develop SQL scripts, views, functions, and stored procedures to support, validate, clean, and deliver data deliverables
• Assist the ERP implementation team in data conversion, data validation, and ad-hoc data requests.
• Design, develop, build, modify, and maintain reports using Crystal Reports, SSRS, and other reporting tools.
• Modify ERP application to accept necessary data
• Work with stakeholders and users to define business intelligence needs and translate them to functional requirements to the technical team.
• Work with end-users and other IT teams to resolve operational issues and mitigate risks as applicable.

• At least 5 years of experience working with relational databases (SQL)
• Must be Proficient in T-SQL programming (Complex queries, Views, Stored Procedure, functions etc.).
• Strong performance optimization experience, including query tuning, use of indexes, targeted denormalization, views, etc.
• The ability to explore and "be comfortable" familiar with the multitude of ways data flows through our client's various systems.
• Understanding of data models and data warehouse theory.
• Experience supporting an ERP systems is strongly preferred
