MAK’s Tire & Wheel — West Dundee, IL

Pay: $18–$24/hr

Schedule: Full-time (flexible daytime hours)

Start: ASAP

Employment: 1099 trial → potential W2 transition

MAK’s Tire & Wheel is a fast-growing e-commerce business specializing in wheels, tires, and automotive accessories.

We work out of a clean office environment, Most daily work involves computer systems, customer service, product listings, and organization.

We’re looking for someone reliable, sharp, and motivated who wants to grow with the company.

Role Overview

The E-Commerce & Customer Service Specialist works directly with the owner and handles customer communication, order flow, product listings, and daily e-commerce operations.

This position has real long-term growth potential and is perfect for someone who wants to contribute ideas, improve processes, and help expand the business.

Growth-Minded Role — Help Build the Next Phase of the Business

We’re looking for someone who enjoys growing a business, improving workflows, and taking on projects that make a real impact.

For the right person, responsibilities may include:

Helping rebuild our new website using Shopify

Supporting the reopening and management of our second eBay store

Improving product listings, descriptions, and media

Helping streamline processes and customer service workflows

Assisting with new sales channels, tools, and system improvements

Working closely with the owner on projects that directly affect growth

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Support

Respond to eBay/Amazon messages

Confident, friendly phone communication

Assist customers with product questions & fitment (training provided)

Manage returns, order adjustments, and tracking issues

Support customer feedback and satisfaction

E-Commerce Operations

Update product listings, descriptions, pricing, and photos

Upload and organize product images

Manage order flow & tracking

Light data entry and administrative support

Assist with reactivating additional sales channels (future)

Light Physical Tasks (Office Only)

Unbox and inspect returned items

Prep outgoing packages and print labels

(20–60 lbs max lifting; no warehouse equipment.)

Requirements

Fast, accurate typing

Strong phone skills and communication

Comfortable with computers, multitasking, and learning systems

Detail-oriented and reliable

Basic sales instincts

Willingness to learn wheel & tire terminology

Dependable work ethic (consistent attendance)

Preferred (Not Required)

Excel experience (sorting/filtering, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)

eBay or Amazon seller experience

Automotive knowledge

Shopify or website experience

Product photography or listing experience

Employment Status

Position begins as a 1099 contractor for a short trial period.

After both sides confirm it’s a good fit, the role may transition into a W2 employee position with stable weekly hours.
