Advanced EMT or Paramedic

As an Advanced EMT (AEMT) or Paramedic, you'll provide urgent and emergency medical care on Wake Island, working alongside a site physician to support patients with injuries, illnesses, and unexpected medical needs.You'll serve as an initial point of contact for clinic patients, respond to emergencies throughout the island, and deliver care within your licensed scope of practice. Your role also includes supporting medical procedures, maintaining clinic readiness, and assisting with medical evacuation coordination.Project Site: Wake Island, Hawaii. Meals, housing, and transportation are provided.Schedule: Clinic operating hours are 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Rotating on-call coverage is required to support 24/7 emergency medical response.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and treat patients in urgent and emergency situations, including providing prehospital care and advanced life support interventions within your scope of practice.Assist the physician with clinical procedures, patient monitoring, documentation, and changes in patient condition.Respond to medical emergencies outside the clinic and assist with medical evacuation coordination and patient preparation for transport.Educate patients on health decisions and provide first aid and emergency response instruction as requested.Maintain medical supplies, equipment readiness, inventory, and clinic operations.Participate in emergency response training exercises and support patient care in accordance with established clinical protocols.
