KAUAICC GRANT PROGRAM SUPPORT ASSISTANT – ID# 224162.

Regular, Full-Time, Limited-Term (not to exceed twelve (12) months in duration), RCUH Non-Civil Service position with the Kauai Community College (KauaiCC), located in Lihue, Hawai‘i. Continuation of employment is dependent upon program/operational needs, satisfactory work performance, availability of funds, and compliance with applicable Federal/State laws.

MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $3,500 - $5,115/Mon.

DUTIES: Collects data related to grant objectives and assists in producing annual reports. Provides data tracking, research, and administrative needs within the framework of Research Corporation of the University of Hawai‘i (RCUH) and University of Hawai‘i (UH) grant policies, rules and regulations. Gathers and updates website information for Title III grants and disseminates information about grant achievements and highlights to the campus and community. Tracks grant expenditures. Assists with tracking grant expenditures. Coordinates travel and expenditures. Provides support with hiring student workers and interns. Plans and implements grant-related events including cultural workshops and training sessions. Inputs, reviews, and approves HR Portal transactions, including eTimesheets on behalf of or in the absence of the Principal Investigator (PI) with the PI’s concurrence.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university in. (Associate’s Degree from an accredited community college and at least (2) two years of office work experience may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.).

EXPERIENCE One to three (1-3) years of experience in administrative support, which includes procurement, travel coordination, data collection/reporting, and event planning.

KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of office administration, use of business applications, and data reporting.

ABILITIES & SKILLS Proficiency with word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications. Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to observe, monitor, collect, record, and verify the accuracy of information and data. Post Offer/Employment Condition: Must be able to pass a post offer criminal background check. Must be able to complete the UH Information Security Awareness Training (ISAT) within two (2) weeks from date of hire, and re-certify every twelve (12) months.

Violation of RCUH's, UH's, or business entity's policies and/or procedures or applicable State or Federal laws and/or regulations may lead to disciplinary action (including, but not limited to possible termination of employment, personal fines, civil and/or criminal penalties, etc.).

SECONDARY QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with data visualization software. Ability to learn and apply training quickly. Works well in teams. Familiarity with the needs of KauaiCC students and campus programs. Knowledge of, or experience with UH’s mission to be a premier indigenous serving higher education system. General knowledge of RCUH and UH processes for procurement, travel, human resources.
