Facilitator for School & Community-Based Workshops
Hawaii, Hawaii, 96801 Hawaii USAVibrant Hawaiʻi is seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our ʻŌpio Alliance for Kuleana Advancement (ʻOAKA) as Kākoʻo.
In this role, you will engage with youth and young adults across Hawaiʻi Island by coordinating and delivering Adulting 101 workshops.
Workshops include but are not limited to:
● The Art of Interviews
● Designing a Professional Profile: Resumes, Cover Letters, and CVs
● Hands-Only CPR & AED Training
● Stroke Awareness
● Financial Resilience
● Mālamalama ( a Vibrant curriculum)
● Transition to Healthcare
Responsibilities:
1. Represent Vibrant Hawaiʻi, ʻOAKA, and the associated partner agencies with the highest degree of professionalism.
2. Facilitate community and school-based Adulting 101 workshops in West Hawaiʻi.
3. Present the training material/curriculum in accordance with and fidelity to the program.
4. Disseminate and collect Hikaloi (participant survey) before the conclusion of the workshop.
5. Enter participant survey data into a shared data system.
6. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to design and implement new workshops to meet urgent and emergent needs of students and young adults.
7. Collaborate with an island-wide team to provide an array of data and evidence of program impact and learner outcomes. This may include, but is not limited to, photos, videos, interviews, testimony/quotes, qualitative and quantitative data.
8. Participate in professional development, team training, and organization planning on a regular and ongoing basis.
9. Represent Vibrant Hawaiʻi in community events.
10. Support all other Vibrant Hawaiʻi initiatives as requested.
The ideal candidate Is dependable, reliable, and consistent, enthusiastic and passionate about empowering youth. Has strong communication and presentation skills. Has knowledge and/or willingness to learn about Adulting 101 Workshop themes and topics. Has the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
Required qualifications:
1. Experience working with youth/young adults in a classroom setting.
2. Access to reliable transportation to and from the workshop site.
3. Hybrid position
