Farm Hand/Nursery Caretaker

Farm Hand/Orchid Nursery Position

This is a 20hr/week position but depending on experience we may be able to increase to a 40hr/wk full-time job.

We live on a 4.5acre farm in Holualoa and are looking for someone to assist with daily duties.

We have a cow that we are raising for beef, ducks for eggs, a veggie garden, and a garden of tropical florals that require harvesting and green-waste removal each week. We have a small orchid and plant nursery that requires weekly attention as well.

-Duties include the following:

-Daily orchid care

-Greenhouse and Floral Shed organizing

-Cleaning Floral Shed

-Prepping florist’s deliveries and incoming florals

-Harvesting flowering Heliconia

-Collecting Greenwaste

-Fertilizing plants

-Propagating and Potting plants

-Washing floral vessels and buckets

-Cleaning Tools

-Feeding Ducks

-Collecting Duck Eggs

-Feeding the Cow

-Setting up electric fencing

-Cleaning up yard dog waste

-Adjusting the electric fence paddocks as needed

-Weed Wacking

-Lawn mowing

-Hand weeding

-Must be able to lift 50lbs
