Live In Companion/Elderly Assistance Help

Looking for Live-In companion/light duty CareGiver Help position. Not much of a Caregiver position but more to be a friend/companion to assist my mom with breakfast, dinner etc who has dementia in Kahului.

Duties during weekdays main thing would be waking her up, making a small light breakfast, walking with her for morning MEO bus trip to daycare and seldomly (if your home) occasionally walking with her after she gets dropped off home in the afternoon to her unit. Pick up and drop off location is on premises.

(Her pick up time/drop off times may be arranged based on your preference/schedule if you have a job).

Her morning pick up is currently scheduled for 7:20am-7:50am, her drop off to her complex is 4:00pm-4:30pm. Again, these times can be changed to fit your needs. 

She attends Adult daycare Monday-Friday, home on weekends and Holidays.

Not really looking for this position but will keep info handy-Drop in assistance:

AM visit would be possibly getting her up, making/giving small simple breakfast and giving medication, could also do meal prep for evening or light cleaning duties etc. until MEO picks her up.

She is 100% mobile and does things on her own. Showers are being done at Daycare.

She does not cook/use a microwave, etc. Simple and or Readily made foods could work too, yogurt, cereal, etc. She is simple.

This position would be for someone who would be able to work during the hours my mom is at daycare or if you are on a fixed income.

Should you be interested, rent would be free in exchange for your companionship/friendship and assistance (which would be just am/pm) weekends she likes to rest or if you want to take her riding around, go the mall, errands etc. In her prior years she was a very active member at Kings Cathedral Church, church is her happy place, a very social butterfly…At this age I think an 1-2 outings a day is good on the weekend, perhaps 1 day for her to just stay home & watch church on tv or Elvis lol. I don’t think she will do well with all day adventures. The days that my mom is at daycare could also be days that you would have free if u have a full or part time job.

Please email any previous care-giving/companion references and any certified credits you have, background checks to be done per housing rules, 1 small inside pet allowed (paperwork packet needs to be completed by your vet). Unit needs to be maintained/kept tidy and clean even more so if a pet will be moving in as inspections are done by management. Application/packet will be provided to the right person.
