Registered Nurse On-Call After Hours-Hospice

North Hawaii Hospice is seeking a full-time on-call (after hours) Registered Nurse for the Kohala, Waikoloa, Waimea, and Hamakua area to work with hospice and palliative care patients. As a member of our team, employees will be trained in palliative care and symptom management. The position requires the following:

-current Hawaii RN license

-experience in hospice or home health

-ability to collaborate with physicians for coordination of care

-ability to provide patient education, counseling, end-of-life symptom management

-ability to triage after hours telephone calls and make home visits if indicated

-ability to provide information about hospice, and on occasion, admit a patient

-valid driver's license

-reliable transportation with insurance coverage

-competent computer skills to complete patient charting
