HR Administrator and Payroll Specialist
Hawaii, Hawaii, 96801 Hawaii USADescription We are seeking an HR Administrator and Payroll Specialist in the service industry, located in HONOLULU, Hawaii. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity, where the individual will be responsible for overseeing payroll processing, maintaining employee records, managing employee benefits, and serving as a point of contact for all HR-related inquiries. Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Hawaii due to the nature of the job requirements.Responsibilities: Oversee the approval of timecards via a cloud-based system. Accurately submit payroll hours to the payroll provider. Ensure the maintenance and accuracy of payroll records. Act as a point of resolution for any payroll discrepancies or issues. Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for new hires and departing employees. Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including medical, vacation, and sick leave. Assist management in the review and update of HR policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR portal. Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits. Maintain TSA record keeping and assist with audits related to payroll and HR functions. Assist in processing TDI and workers comp claims.Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in HR administration and payroll processing Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must Demonstrable skills in Auditing Knowledge and experience with Benefit Functions Familiarity with Bamboo HR software Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong focus on detail and accuracy Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferred Certified Payroll certification is a plus Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
