Love Kids & Jiu-Jitsu?

We are looking to train an assistant instructor for 4hr days, helping kids to grow into the best versions of themselves through training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mindfulness, Non-Violent Communication, and more.

Our classes are fun-first, engagement-centered, and self-defense and personal growth oriented. We strive to ensure kids love coming to class each day.

At the same time, we teach high-quality Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques and strategy, and our students live-roll in almost every class.

No experience needed! We'll train you thoroughly in everything you need to know as an assistant instructor, including how to perform Jiu-Jitsu and self-defense techniques, how to help students perform them, how to manage a classroom, how to guide mindfulness, and more.

Looking for either or both Wednesday and Thursday, from about 2:00PM - 6:15PM

Must be good with kids and able to connect with them. Wednesday classes include age groups from 7yrs and up. Thursday classes include age groups from 4yrs and up.

Safety is a huge priority, so we always schedule two adult instructors for each class and maintain strict class size limits.

Applicants must:

-Be great with and love working with kids

-Be safety-oriented

-Be organized and reliable - arrive on time

-Have a positive mindset

-Have your own transportation

-Be able to lift 30lbs

-Communicate openly and often

-Be coachable

-Be legally able to work in the USA, over the age of 18

Not a Must, but definitely a Plus:

Experience working with kids

Teaching experience

Jiu-Jitsu or other Martial Arts experience

Need Not Apply:

- Existing Jiu-Jitsu students training under Luis in Haiku (unless you plan to quit immediately)

- Existing Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts

Requirements and Payment Details: Must be living on Maui and be legal to work in the United States. We don't pay under the table. Compensation is as a contractor, via Venmo or direct deposit, at the end of each month. Payment is $20-$28/hr and includes training time. Get paid to train Jiu-Jitsu!

Schedule: Either or both Wednesday and Thursday, from about 2:00PM - 6:15PM
