Toolmaster Hawaii is looking for our newest team member in Lihue, Kauai.

About Us:

Toolmaster is a legacy business on the island of Kauai that has expanded under new management since 2022. Toolmaster started as a tool rental company 52 years ago in Kapahi, and we have kept the tool rental alive, offering a variety of rental items, including power tools, generators, and material moving equipment, as well as being the island's largest scaffolding supplier. We also have a fleet of work trucks for rent. Inside the store, you will find top brands like Honda, Makita, and Bosch for sale, and we are adding more lines to our growing showroom consistently. The business is dynamic, and applicants must be ready to work in a busy environment, follow protocol, and provide the top-notch customer service our customers deserve. We also operate an auto shop and a firearms store in the same building as Toolmaster, which is not part of the initial job responsibilities but can & and should be grown into.

Ammo &Firearms sales & transfers (this is a separate business; if you know about firearms/have experience, that is a huge plus and would open up opportunities to help with this business as well)

Job Description:

We seek an individual to help with customer service at Toolmaster Hawaii. This includes:

- Communicating with customers about their needs

- Troubleshooting to find solutions for customers

- Being knowledgable about the products we sell, repair and rent

- Creating rental bookings, following protocols

- Creating scaffolding orders

- Answering the phone

- Load and unload rental equipment and sold items

- Driving company vehicles to deliver rental items

- Labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials

- Operate power tools, and machinery as required.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety standards are met.

- Follow instructions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.

- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas.

- Assist with basic maintenance and repair tasks.

- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.

- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors or project managers

Have a valid driver's license

Be over the age of 18

Be able to lift 30+ lbs

Other details:

Experience with a forklift is a huge plus. The job includes laborious work when scaffolding orders go out. We work as a team here, and there will always be help, but this role is for an individual who doesn't mind working hard and sweating when things get busy.

The rate posted is a starting rate, evaluation after a 90-day probationary period. Sick Leave PTO start after 90 days

The job starts at 7:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM

If we are still busy at 3:30 PM, you are encouraged to stay until the work is done; overtime is time and a half.
