Kayak Tour Guide

Part time Kayak Guides wanted for long established Kayak Tour Company operating at Keauhou Bay. Great for retired people, watermen/women as well as those who are comfortable with outdoor ocean activities. Must live within 20 minutes of Keauhou Bay and possess a current drivers license and reliable transportation. Need to have good communication skills, management skills, maturity and enjoy working on the water with tourists.

This is not a full time position. Part-time is a max of 3 days per week.

Can you lift 70lbs over your head?

Some of our kayaks will require a strong upper body strength.

We are looking for people that LOVE the water. LOVE the culture. And above all, LOVE SHARING IT!

We are looking for people who are comfortable in the water. Positive & out outgoing personalities are a must as you will be engaging with your group and enhancing their experience. Conversational and correct knowledge of Hawaii’s culture, and wildlife is a plus. Safety certifications are a huge plus and better pay.

Being an ocean activity guide can be very rewarding "job" for the right person. If you like to stay up late and party, this probably isn't the job for you. However, if you are an early riser and love being out in nature then this could be a good fit. The hours are early mornings, starting around 6:00am and done around 12:00pm. Morning hours make it possible to have a second job from the afternoon if you need. You'll be getting paid to exercise and play in the ocean. something your guests will be paying to do:)

Passionate, friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing, personable are all words which describe the ideal guides personality.

We train but eventually you need to have:

1. Lifeguard Certified in Hawaii

2. First Aid/CPR Certified

3. Desire to learn history and culture of the area

Compensation: $90-120 a day plus tips
