Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Epidemiologist III to support the Poxvirus and Rabies Branch (PRB) to enhance, increase and maintain the laboratory, epidemiology, and public health capacity to respond to infectious disease threats, including but not limited to MPOX disease. Provide support for case-based surveillance systems; working with mpox Epidemiology team and external/state partners to help assist in the advancement of mpox national case surveillance.
Conduct cleaning and analyses on surveillance data to assist in the identification of cases/clusters or concern for investigations.
Provide assistance on database design, management, and analyses for epidemiology projects within the branch and for special investigations.
Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and statistical software (SAS, SPSS, R, or similar).
Knowledge of DCIPHER is helpful, but not required.
Communications to public health professionals via development of materials and participation in trainings and meetings.
Provide service to clinicians, public health officials, and citizens for the poxvirus phone duty.
Development of written scientific reports, including manuscripts.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Master’s in epidemiology, public health, biology, statistics, or related field.
Minimum of three years providing epidemiologic studies and working with methodology, implementation, and analysis.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Performs directed subject matter work.
Supports team in producing high-quality deliverables in time efficient manner.
Meets with client as needed.
