Contributing to the vision, strategy, planning, evaluation, design, development, and implementation of the comprehensive testing program for the Veterans Affairs project.
Support testing and evaluation of applications to ensure applications meet objectives, contribute to the development of the overall solution roadmap, manage the delivery of testing services to clients and ensure business standards are achieved, and identify cross-functional impacts and areas of potential risk management.
Leadership aspects include mentoring associates, lead, direct and review the team’s work to achieve operational and functional targets or objectives with a measurable contribution towards the achievement of immediate and short-term results for the team and the overall testing program.
Establish and communicate team goals that support and advance team and testing program objectives; establish metrics or other performance measures to track progress.
Understand and explain policies, practices, and procedures within the immediate area of responsibility to stakeholders within and outside of the team.
Identify, propose and lead the team- and department-level quality and process improvement initiatives; participate and provide input on strategic initiatives at the department level and deliver consistent and timely training, guidance, and feedback to encourage and promote associate success and growth through regular developmental conversations and identification of developmental opportunities.
Provide primary input and recommendations on staffing and performance decisions for direct reports.
This role will involve working directly with multiple client-billable Task Orders and the role is considered billable in addition to performing the managerial tasks.
Basic Qualifications
6+ years of experience relevant to this position including 3 years of consulting experience. Management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product, technology or industry expertise relevant to the practice focus. Ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year people management, matrix management, project management or other indirect leadership work experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
3 years of work experience with Oracle Cerner Millennium applications
3 years of Healthcare IT work experience

ResponsibilitiesPerforms varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices. Demonstrates expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations. Participates in business development activities. Ensure that operational policies are followed and that business objectives are achieved by focusing on best practices and process improvements. Responsible for operational metrics and overall business results for area of responsibility. Provides coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members. Typically manages individual contributors. Demonstrates multiple business process expertise within one product family or technology solutions architect and design expertise for one technology product and understand cross stack impacts.6-8 years of experience relevant to this position including 3-4 years consulting experience and 1 year of engagement/team leadership experience. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively.
