The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various destinations. The Truck Driver must have INTERMODAL EXPERIENCE and be licensed to operate commercial vehicles, know how to drive a stick shift/ 10 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION. QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean MVR driving record.
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Must clear FMCSA Clearinghouse
High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably one year in a commercial or freight transport.
Ability to operate and drive 2012 Freightliner Cascadia day cab, 10-speed manual transmission,10-speed.
Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and road signage.
Excellent navigation and route planning skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to sit for extended periods.
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:
Ensure the safe loading, unloading, and securement of cargo.
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain high safety during transportation.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date driver logs and records.
TIME MANAGEMENT:
Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely delivery of goods.
Adapt to changes in routes or schedules to accommodate unforeseen circumstances.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients, vendors, and other personnel at delivery and pickup locations.
Verify the accuracy of orders and ensure customer satisfaction.
VEHICLE MAINTENANCE:
Perform routine maintenance on trucks, such as checking oil, coolant, fuel levels, etc., and promptly report any mechanical issues to your supervisor immediately.
Coordinate with your supervisor for necessary repairs.
COMMUNICATION:
Maintain open communication with dispatch and other team members.
Report any incidents, accidents, or violations promptly. Time Management: Manage time efficiently to meet delivery schedules and deadlines. Ensure on-time arrivals and departures for pickups and deliveries.
