General HOA Handyman Services

Gutter Work:

Fix and install new gutters.

Clean and maintain gutters.

Windows and Screens:

Repair or replace windows.

Fix or replace window screens.

Community Installations:

Install community mailboxes.

Install speed bumps, metal signage on gates and posts.

Install community billboards or announcement boards.

Install or repair bike racks or benches.

Basic Handyman Work:

Fix electronic locks or keypads.

Perform minor carpentry work (e.g., repairs to gates, benches, or signage posts).

Perform touch-up painting or small painting jobs.

Repair or install light fixtures or outdoor electrical components (e.g., lights on signage or walkways).

Fencing and Barriers:

Fix or build fencing (wood or metal).

Repair or install privacy screens or railings.

Outdoor Maintenance:

Clean and maintain retention ponds.

Perform small landscaping repairs or installations.

Basic pressure washing of common areas (e.g., sidewalks, community entrances).

Tree Work:

Perform small tree removal or trimming of low-hanging branches.

Remove fallen branches or debris from common areas.

Pool Maintenance (After Training):

Clean and maintain pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and balancing chemicals.

Perform minor pool equipment repairs (e.g., filters, skimmers).

Community Maintenance:

Seasonal maintenance tasks (e.g., weatherproofing doors/windows, applying sealant to wood).

Replace HVAC filters or clean small mechanical components in shared spaces.

Inspect and maintain playground equipment for safety compliance.

Other Handy Tasks:

Assemble or repair outdoor furniture in common areas.

Install or replace signage or safety barriers.

Organize and maintain storage or utility sheds.

Expectations and Requirements for HOA Handyman Services

In addition to the tasks listed above, we have the following expectations and requirements for a handyman working with our HOA services:

Work Schedule & Flexibility

Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate various HOA needs, including last-minute or urgent projects.

Should be available to work during business hours and occasionally after hours for emergencies or time-sensitive tasks.

Payment Terms

Understands that we operate as a company, and payments are not made on the same day. Payments are processed according to our billing and invoicing schedule.

Must be comfortable with submitting invoices and waiting for payment according to our agreed-upon terms.

Materials & Tools

Preferably has their own tools and necessary equipment for the job.

Should be willing to purchase materials for projects if necessary (with prior approval), or coordinate with us to have materials ordered and delivered to the site.

Skill Set & Approach

A one-stop shop for general handyman and maintenance needs.

Can think on their feet and propose solutions for projects.

Able to assess project requirements, share ideas, and provide input on the most efficient way to complete tasks.

Skilled at problem-solving and troubleshooting during project execution.

Additional Preferences

Ideally 30+ years old with significant experience in handyman or maintenance services.

If working as a team (with a helper), it is preferred as it can expedite larger or more labor-intensive tasks.

Must provide quality work at a competitive rate similar to or lower than Chris, who was on the higher end of our budget.

Professional Standards

Reliable, punctual, and professional in all interactions.

Willing to handle a variety of tasks with attention to detail and quality.

Can follow our processes and respect the needs of our HOA clients, ensuring work aligns with our standards and reputation.
