Roadway Design Lead Engineer

Join AECOM’s Transportation team in Atlanta and play a critical role in the delivery of complex roadway projects across Georgia. As a Roadway Design Lead Engineer, you will lead day-to-day engineering production, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure high-quality, on-schedule delivery of roadway design tasks. This position offers a hybrid work option.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Lead day-to-day roadway engineering production, assigning tasks and maintaining schedule and qualityCoordinate roadway design activities across disciplines to ensure technically sound and integrated deliverablesPerform detailed QC reviews of calculations, models, plans, quantities, and estimates prior to submittalsEnsure compliance with contract requirements, GDOT standards and Plan Development Process requirementsTrack task-level scope, schedule, and budget; proactively identify and communicate risks or issues to the PMSupport development of design criteria and technical approachMentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers to support team performance and developmentParticipate in fee, scope, and staffing discussions to support efficient project deliveryPerform design quality reviews
