Environmental Inspector

Location: Georgia (Project-based / On-site)
Compensation: $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 40–50 hours per week
Benefits: Paid holidays, mileage reimbursement at IRS rate
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Environmental Inspector to support ongoing pipeline construction projects. This role involves daily on-site inspections of erosion and sediment control measures (BMPs), project documentation, and coordination with contractors and project management to ensure compliance with applicable environmental requirements.
This is a field-based position ideal for candidates who enjoy working outdoors and have experience or interest in construction-related environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily inspections of BMPs on active pipeline construction projects
Identify, document, and communicate BMP deficiencies to contractors and the project manager
Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports
Review and interpret project plans and drawings related to erosion and sediment control
Maintain organized inspection records and reporting documentation
Communicate professionally with contractors, inspectors, and project management teams
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable personal vehicle (required for travel to job sites)
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and ability to document observations accurately
Preferred Qualifications
On-site construction or environmental inspection experience
Ability to read and understand project plans
Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission (GSWCC) Blue Card
Knowledge of GSWCC erosion and sediment control regulations
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
