Operations Specialist

Description Title: Mortgage Loan ProcessorLocation: Midtown, AtlantaOverview:We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in facilitating the mortgage application process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from initial submission to loan approval.Responsibilities:

Review mortgage applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documentation is included.

Verify applicant information, including income, employment history, credit reports, and property appraisals.

Communicate with loan officers, borrowers, and third-party vendors to obtain any missing or additional documentation.

Evaluate loan files to ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

Prepare and submit mortgage loan files to underwriting for review and approval.

Coordinate with underwriters, appraisers, title companies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the loan approval process.

Maintain regular communication with borrowers to provide updates on the status of their loan applications.

Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the loan processing and underwriting process.

Ensure timely closing of mortgage loans by coordinating with all parties involved and preparing closing documents.

Keep abreast of changes in mortgage lending regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance and adherence to industry best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.

Previous experience in mortgage lending or loan processing preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and mortgage loan processing software.

Knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and TRID, preferred.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive borrower information.

Must be able to work onsite at our Midtown, Atlanta location.
