The Regional Sales Director (RSD), reporting to the Regional Vice President, is responsible for the growth of a multi-state regional territory; leading & coaching a team of regional direct sales managers to drive new business and maintain existing customer relationships. Key responsibilities include coaching and training, new account acquisition, sales forecasting, P&L analysis, recruiting, and performance management as well as directing sales & business development efforts for the overall area.The RSD develops the strength and performance of the Associated Materials Direct Sales team to increase market penetration for windows, siding & other accessory components.  Primary customer base to include independent distribution, national lumberyards, and direct window dealers within a defined territory. OBJECTIVESSales skills that will lead you to success:Meet or exceed area & territory sales quota for profitable growth in sales.Deliver a high quality of work respective to territory and customer relationship management, ensuring sufficient contact to continually strengthen the supplier-customer relationship.Deliver exceptional service to and support of existing customers including product feature/benefit training, competitor product training, marketing support, technical and installation support, development of promotional incentives, and timely resolution of customer concerns/problemsDevelop and maintain expertise in competitive pricing in the market and ensure that all customers in the territory are competitively priced for similar products DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIESDrives, manages, and executes the business and revenue of the direct sales team within area.Prepares forecasts, territory/industry management, and growth plans.Establishes and reports on metrics to measure team performance.Ensures that the regional sales plan is aligned with and supports the corporate revenue goal.Serve each customer in a region of the US with integrity.Utilize technology to effectively communicate with the customers in the territoryDemonstrate proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications.Demonstrate excellence in delivering effective visual and verbal presentationsMaintain detailed customer data files including updated program agreements and pricing.Submit weekly report of sales growth progress in the territory to Regional VP of SalesContinually strive to achieve a higher percentage of the customers overall spend in product categories manufactured and supplied by AM KEY RELATIONSHIPSDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal AM support groups including Supply Center team, Marketing, Customer Service/Warranty, Engineering, and Product ManagementLeading the team of RDSM’s in developing pull through opportunities within your area territory distribution customersOwn Relationship with CustomersNegotiate price increasesNegotiate contractsMaintain strong relationships with national account sales management
