Accountant II

Our organization is a leading Nationwide fabricator and installer of architectural and custom metals based in the Atlanta, GA area. We are currently seeking an Accountant II with a proven background to join our company. The idea candidate should be a self-starter, well organized, and have a comprehensive knowledge of accounting. Prior experience in a construction related environment is preferred but not required. Minimum of BS in Accounting is preferred but level of experience will be considered.

Job skills and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

QuickBooks Enterprise, Microsoft Office 365, Excel, and Word is required

Journal entries and closings

Manage Accounting Associates on a daily basis

Excellent verbal, written, and phone communication skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines

Team player with ability to assist in other roles as needed

Process monthly construction pay applications (AIA) and invoices

Administration of contracts and required documentation to General Contractors and customers

Contact with insurance company on a regular basis including COI’s, CCIP’s

Daily contact with General Contractors, customers and vendors

Administer company benefit plans, health, dental, retirement

Maintain subcontractor files and COI’s

Process customer credit applications

Process weekly vendor payables and credit apps to new vendors

Maintain A/R and collections for past due accounts required

Assist CFO with compilation of financial statements

Maintain various filing systems

Maintain job lien system software for multiple states

Help with special projects and other ad hoc requests

Manage Federal and State Agency filings

Other support as requested by CEO and CFO
