Georgia, Athens, 30601 Athens USAStarr RegionalMedical Centeriscurrently seeking talent to fill the position ofLead Radiology TechforourStarr Orthodepartment.Thisjobis permanent,full-time. Core competencies include, but are not limited to the following:
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patientregardingprocedures,equipmentand exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
When ordered,preparesand administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status asappropriate.
Prepares equipment and supplies.Selectsappropriate exposurefactors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performsappropriate qualitycontrol procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipmentmalfunctionsas necessary.

Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s). Analyzes results andidentifiesissues with the quality of imaging results. Takesappropriate actionto resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure. Enters,transmitsand reports scan results.
Schedules andmaintainsannual physicist inspections and state registrations for all imaging machines within physician services clinics.
Oversees all imaging staff competencies and training needs within physician services. Benefits Include:
