As a Field Service Technician , you willprovide technical assistance and support for field startups of both standard and non-standard systems, warranty efforts, remedial repairs, and preventative maintenance contracts. Will be under the general supervision of the Customer Manager.
What you will do:
Assist the help desk to resolve customer issues that cannot be handled from Alpharetta.
As needed, assist the field service team with hardware installation, wiring, repair and troubleshooting.
As needed, assists both internal and external customers, in preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and testing of ATS and Switchgear.
Self-manage travel booking and expenses.
Submit daily reports, weekly time sheets, expenses, and project files in a timely manner.
Stay current with training on all new and updated platforms.
Assist with Parts Ordering and Warranty Analysis.
Monitor status of Helpdesk Tickets, CAT-ISO (RFQ and Orders), and SWGRDPSC@cat.com
What you will have:
High School diploma or GED.
At least 1-3 years of experience working in the customer service industry, problem solving trouble shooting, and mechanical assembly.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Top candidates will have:
Ability to understand, assemble and/or wire to diagrams / schematics with precise detail.
Fluent Spanish speaker looking to excel in a role that thrives on client interaction.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Ability to perform repetitive operations.
Ability to lift to 35 lbs.
Shift
Monday through Friday; 8AM – 5PM. Additional overtime as needed.
