SENIOR SERVER ADMINISTRATOR Salary: $70,339 Annually, negotiable depending on qualificationsDepartment: Information Systems Services (ISS)/Platform ServicesLocation: 301 N. Olive Avenue, WPBHours: 4/10- or 5/8-hour days between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday – FridayOther: Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Performs advanced professional technical and analytical work with responsibility for technical consulting, server system configuration design, planning, implementation, management and operational support of servers. Possesses full access to the server operating system, programs, recovery and system utilities. Responsible for analyzing and recommending server system software configurations for any/all existing server platforms. Coordinates and performs development, acquisition and support activities to ensure the integration of systems and sharing of data; evaluates placement of data on server storage devices for the purpose of optimal server performance; leads the planning, system architecture, design and implementation of new and revised information technologies/systems for County Agencies and Constitutional Officers. Performs project coordination function for evaluating, installing, monitoring, debugging, auditing and maintenance of server software on a variety of hardware platforms and writes user documentation as appropriate. Independent judgment is necessary to accomplish tasks and a high degree of coordination is maintained with analysts, operations personnel, vendors and customers. This position reports to the Systems Integrator and is evaluated based on quality of results obtained, conferences, customer feedback and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Management Information Systems (MIS)/closely related field; minimum of four (4) years of experience in server administration.

Equivalencies:

Six (6) years of related experience AND one of the following:

Related Associate's Degree in Computer Science, MIS/related field

OR

Equivalent academic training from a technical institute/formal military education program (minimum of 900 classroom hours)

OR

Unrelated Bachelor's Degree.

Graduation from high school/equivalent recognized certification AND eight (8) years of related experience.

PREFERENCE FOR FIVE (5) YEARS OF EXPERIENCE WITH

: Systems management and troubleshooting; advanced IIS/Web administration/troubleshooting. Also desirable: Experience in writing PowerShell/other scripting languages

(must specify), installing/managing monitoring solutions, administering Active Directory, SharePoint On-Premise, Exchange On-Premise, SQL Server, HPE/IBM hardware and storage
